Default Removing 2016 Tri Glide stock exhaust

Want to install my new Rush Big Louie's. I have loosen the clamp that holds the muffler to the head pipe, but how do I remove it from the rear. I see a star head screw that appears to hold the metal bracket/rubber mount. Do I remove this screw and go from there? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

There are two 1/2" hex head bolts above the muffler ends. You can see them in the video below at the 3:52 mark

These two bolts are what hold the rear of the muffler up and onto the trike frame.

I would recommend putting the clamp on the muffler before sliding it onto the head pipe.

This weekend, I installed the DK Custom Comfort and Lift plates and changed out my slip-ons. On the 2014, I couldn't get the axel low enough to line up the bolts on the plate so I disassembled the exhaust. First trying to drop the Z pipe; that didn't work so I had to drop the mufflers. I found it much easier to remove the trunk so I could access those two bolts holding the mufflers up (2 on each side). It only took about 20 minutes to get it off. There are just six 1/2" hex bolts inside the trunk, and two 5/16"X1" hex cap screws on each side under the side covers. That made it a whole lot easier. The DK product is amazing, but the directions really gloss over removing the short hex bolts holding the mufflers up. It was a b-atch to try and get to the bolts without removing the trunk. Removing the trunk to get at the mufflers is an extra step, but really a time saver in the long run.
