Happy to hear that all is good for the ride. If you would have been in the Florida area I would have loaned you my trike so that you wouldn't have to rent. It would have been an honor.

Same here man. Wow, what a great thing to do!

One thing to add, if you don't normally ride a Tri Glide, either try to get some experience on it first or let someone with some seat time drive it for you. Anybody with some time on a Tri will be able to make the ride much smoother and enjoyable.

My $.02, Dad makes the decision, and let him know that he calls the shots as far as the length of the ride, turning back whenever he desires. All my best to both of you!

It's all set!! Forged Alliance has mapped the ride, arranged for police escort and for a roped off parking area at the ice cream place. It's only a 15 minute ride, and dad said that is good.

My friend will ride along in her car with his wheelchair and at the ice cream place we will wheel him over for a hot dog (his favorite) and fries. He shouldn't be eating that stuff but he can have what he wants at this point!

He is sooooo excited! And if he feels he can't handle the ride back on the Tri Glide, he will ride in the car with my friend.

I bought a $125 gift card at the ice cream place that I will present to Forged Alliance for their wonderful volunteering for this event so each of them can get an ice cream.

I am putting out word for someone to video this and take pics. I already have a helmet for dad. I have driven a Tri Glide before, but 2 years ago. I will have to do a little practicing first before the ride.

I have a list of 6 friends who want rides during the week. I have been without a motorcycle for years now, since I started taking care of my parents. I miss it sooooooo much. Even though this is all for dad, I can't wait to be back in the saddle again, feeling the wind in my face, smelling the fresh cut grass and BBQs as I ride along, forgetting all the problems in life....

Can't wait!!

drop the rear tire pressure to 18 or 20 and lower the air in the shocks. take it slow and stay of the highway on smooth roads and he should be OK. a small inflatable pillow of some sort about half full of air would be good too. good luck and best wishs for your Dad.

Everyone else covered the shocks and tire pressure. All I have to add is to take pictures and post them please. And tell your Dad, thanks for his service!!
