I think an Ultra is rated for like 410 pounds rider/passenger/stuff, and the Tri Glide handles 485. But I know of quite a few folks pushing the north side of 500 on Ultras and all they do is put in some extra air in the shocks and tires. There's a thread on that over in the Touring/Rushmore section.

I guess it was in the Touring section, it was a couple of days ago that I saw it.

We have more than a few Customers that are well over 600 lbs between the rider, passenger and luggage.
I'm 200, Mary is 140, and on our long trips we easily go over 140 in luggage. That is 480. We have 10's of thousands of miles riding like that with zero issues on the trike (other than heat, and that is there anyway) and zero issues in handling.
Then when we pull a trailer, that adds another 500 lbs, 40 of which is tongue weight. Again, zero issues.
For some reason I am thinking that when the TG's first came out the load max was 540, not the 485 it is now.
