Trike Safety Classes
#3
The HD sponsered "Riding Academy"
at a number of dealerships offer a Trike riding class but it is expensive, $300+.
You might check with your nearest dealer. Passing the course will allow you to get an endorsement on your drivers license in most states. I'm not sure about Ohio. Ride Safe!

I guess there are still some states that have a problem deciding if the Slingshot is an auto or a motorcycle. I consider it a three wheel automobile.
That being said the Morgan is also a full body vehicle that has three wheels & classified as a motorcycle. Has been for many years.
Question here...... If you convert a 2 wheel motorcycle to a trike does it become an automobile ??? Or as they refer "Autocycle"?? How about a motorcycle with a sidecar ?

In California trikes are considered recreational sport vehicles and no endorsement is needed. Here in New Mexico trike riders are required to have an M/C endorsement. That being said, the MVD's or DMV's, however you want to call them, do not have any way to give a riding test. That means you either have to take a motorcycle or a trike riding safety course. And with the riding class certification you qualify for the state endorsement.
