Hot rod trike

Hot rod trike
Looking to get a hot rod type trike. Wondering if anyone has done this with a Freewheeler. Looking to do big fat tires in the rear (obviously removing fenders), lift the tank and pull back drag bars. Anyone ever use the adapters to change to a 5 bolt pattern for bigger selection of wheels? Any ideas on how to sit more in the frame? Or is it just better to do a conversion kit on my softail to get that chopped, low seat height look? Looked into custom build from ground up and I am hearing numbers over 50K !! Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Start with a Frankenstien kit and go from there for your Softail. Easy to install the rear and go from there.

Made my decision. Traded in my 16 Tri Glide for a 17 Freewheeler. Dealership had already installed Carlini 14" Gangster Ape and chromed lower fork legs. They gave me a deal couldn't refuse. Now its time find a wheel wider than 5.5". No luck so far. Getting used to the bars. The 107 is much more fun than the 103 in my TG. Time to have fun with the mods.

A 6" wide rear wheel w/3"-3.25" backspace will fit. So will a 7" width wheel w/3.5" backspace. Tire size should be a 205. Wheel bolt pattern is 4x4.25 or 4x108mm.
I doubt you will find an off the shelf wheel with those specs but custom ordering what you need isn't a problem. That's what I did for our trike.
