Trike is a 2017 Tri Glide Ultra. No modifications other than the Jugs to cool anything.

Manufacture's suggested optimum distance is 2 1/4 to 2 /3/4 away.

As a retired 20 year Infantry NCO I am well used to creature discomforts
I want to talk to the fabricator about a possible short shield that would flow more air to the cylinder head from the right side while shielding my legs, if that is even possible.

I guess another solution would be a manual on/off switch although I'm told its best to leave them running.

We shall see. Will post the resolve if any.

Hey Amber, we always invite good ideas. We also always have an open line to reach our owners, Steve 561-499-0974 and Dave 631-909-1116. It's Sunday but every day is the same, we're here for you for anything you want to ask about or comment on. You say you want to speak with us so call me and your request will be honored that simply. I'd be happy to speak with you about your idea. - Steve

I have the HD CoolFlow fan system installed on my 2017 TG in addition to the LJ system. IMO, the LJ is primarily an engine cooling device while the DD CoolFlow is a comfort item. I will never be without both.

Question Question

What is the recommended mounting distance from the fins for the Love Jugs Mighty Mites? I can see where they would probably not send as much air around the jugs to the other side.

Please click this LINK, it has the details.

Cooling, as you're discovering, is not a simple matter on these Trikes. Fans, like the LJ's, are an important component, but are not a total solution. The link above explains the why's and how's.

I thought the fans drew air away from the jugs not blew air across them?
Across is more eficient but that'e what my understanding was,
in which case his fans are wired reverse polarity and blowing not sucking. So too speak.

The fans pull air from the left side and blow it across the engine.
