Does "our" mean you were riding double? If so, that would make a difference with the added weight.

Went to local custom shop and asked about tires and they didn't have a recommendation.

Any words of wisdom?
All three tires hydroplaned, or just the front?

There are a ton of better front tires...Michelin Commander, Metzler, Avon trike tire and more.

I do adjust my speed for conditions, but can still travel at a good clip in the rain without issues.

Oh, and I run about 21 PSI in the stock rears, not sure if that helps to Not hydroplane.

Bet it's not worth a **** in the snow either.
Slow down.
They actually do pretty good in the snow (not so great on ice). I was really surprised.

Snow is fine...ice is another story.

Sometimes, not often, but sometimes I have not been comfortable traveling with the flow of traffic. I put on my flashers and ride my own ride...they'll have to go around me.

Yeah, I don't like the linked brakes, but they did not present as much of a challenge as I thought they would. Both vids above are on a '14 with linked brakes.

The first thing I did was ditch the dunflops and installed rain tires.
Not a 100% I know, but it has to help!..tenn.vol.

DK Custom friggin awesome videos! I run 25 in rear tires.

Great videos, thank your for sharing!

As for if it was the front or rear, I don't really know, just that it was an *** pucker. Believe both times was rear, not really positive.

Again, great videos

I used to hydroplane and yes slowing down is the inexpensive way to resolve the issue, however there are better tires out there. Product TitleGoodyear Assurance Comfortred Touring Tire is what I run now in the rear, and Michelin Commander II in the front. Could not be happier.

FWIW, nothing is good on ice. Including four wheel drive cages.

Pretty good info in this thread. I am fairly new to three wheels and would not have thought there would be an issue.
Thanks!
