Default tranny fluid question........

is amsoil servere gear lube 75w/150 or 140 to heavy for my tri-glide tranny.....or what do you guys use......thanks

I use Redline Shockproof.

I think that weight is to heavy. I think 75w90 is better imho. Thicker is not always better. Specially this time of year and in your case , Northern states...

Same here also. Big difference on less tranny wine and shifting.

Same here. HD dealer recommended it too. Redline VTwin with shockproof to be specific.

I've owned 3 trikes and have always used Belray 85/140 Hypoid gear oil in the transmission with no problems. My dealer recommended it also. And I ride all year from 40 degrees up.

The dealer put Bellray 85/140 Hypoid in my '13 new.
