Default '17 Tri Glide parking brake trouble.

Parking brake has always been about 7 clicks down, when applied. Should be about 4/5 clicks. I cannot move the adjuster ( long nut) at the front end of the cable, the one with the jam nut. As far as I can tell, that is the only way to adjust the parking brake. Any advise will help, thanks.

Owners manual has the parking brake adjustment procedures. Got to break the nut and long nut extension. It's on there good so I had to use vicegrips.

I finally got it adjusted. Why someone would apply loctite to the threads, is beyond me, but they did. I had to use some heat to get it to turn loose, then adjusted as it needed, for 4 clicks. Works fine now. I also added some marine grease to the threads, before locking it down, and replacing the rubber boot.
