Anyone install a back rest on their TG? BOUGHT factory mount and wonder about install

great to know, thanks. Any basic installation tips? Instructions make it look like a trigonometry problem

All I do is find out where the mount hits the seat and how far it comes into the seat and place the pad accordingly. Simple once you look at it.
When the rest pivots forward the edge of the mount tries to dig into the slot in the seat.
I purchased extra pads as they get lost due to hot weather and moving the backrest. Been thinking of using a better glue than what comes on it.
By the way,,,, the adjustable mount has to be shortened to work with the Hammock seat. The latch sits too high and the rest frame has to be cut back 1".
There is a good tutorial on the forum about doing that.

I was going to go for a back rest but the wife said she likes me leaning back on her.

Just follow the directions, I put the non-adjustable on my 2011 which wasn;t supposed to fit but had no problems, I did drill a small hole to attach one brace in which was no big deal.
