2017 or 2018 Tri Glide
Test rode a 2018 Tri Glide last week and decided to trade our 16 FreeWheeler.Going this Friday to look at 2 different 2017's and a 2018.Other than paint color does anyone know of any significant changes on the 18 that would make it a better choice. Don't want to make any mistakes at this point.I will say we really do like our Freewheeler but for us hands down the Tri Glide is the way to go. Appreciate any information.

You might want to check out the M8 forum before you buy. I recently bought a 2017 Tri Glide because the price was right, the 2018's were out and it was the end of the month!
Then I find out about some 2017 M8's are migrating transmission fluid over to the primary. Also some 2018's are doin it also. Something to do with the hydraulic clutch.
Check it out here: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/milwa...-transfer.html
So far, mine isn't doing it. Hope it never does.

Neon65 since you brought up the oil migration issue with the M8s have you heard of any 17 TGs that have shown that problem. I know that they are included within the tsb, but I have yet to hear of anyone with a TG that has developed that problem.
My understanding is also that no changes have been made with the cases and other transmission components and HD has no "clue" why it happens. So I think it's just a matter of time before it happens with some 18 M8s also.
