Default Thank you everyone for everything, back to two wheels.

Well I had my hip replacement surgery a month or so ago and I am healing up well and getting ready for the next stage of my motorcycle riding adventure. I still have a lot of pain from various injuries over the years but my strength is three times better than before surgery.

I am learning to walk again fairly quickly and have progressed from a walker to a cane and now to short jaunts with nothing but my two legs. I still use a cane sometimes for balance when I tire but I can jam a cane into a saddle bag . So that is not an issue anymore. I sold the family trike last sunday and now am back to two wheels.

Since I am now able to hold up the weight of two wheels again I decided to go back to two wheels for good. I have Cerebral Palsy and the balancing and movement of being on two wheels greatly helps my balance and co-ordination walking and using my legs and body on a daily basis.

Thank to everyone on this forum for all the help , encouragement, and help when I transitioned from two wheels to three. I am now transitioning from three wheels back to two.

I probably won't ride a two wheel bike as much as a three wheeler as far or as often but I decided my long haul days are pretty much behind me anyway. I am going to be content with two or three hundred mile days a few times a summer and the rest of the time will be shorter rides in the 50 to 100 mile side or less. I will be one of those old dudes out there now just cruising around with no worries and in no hurry. Did the hot rod bike thing, had a lot of different machines , loved the freewheeler and now hopefully have my final ride if I can keep it on the road and in one piece .

Ill still be here on the forum so anyone can get ahold of me or leave comments etc. I am going to be hanging in the softail section now . All the best to everyone here . Be safe out there on your freewheelers and Tri-glides. Have fun. All the best to you!! Rick .

And great to see you using a two-wheeler as a therapy machine! Mental and physical!
