Real world mileage with M8?

When traveling on a TriGlide, it has been my experience (on my 3rd) that when doing speeds over 70 mph, your fuel mileage will drop to 32 mpg and less. When averaging 60 mph or less you can get up to 38 mpg.
You also have to consider that if you get head winds the fuel mileage can drop drastically. Had this happen in Oklahoma once when traveling on the Interstate at 70/75 mph, my fuel mileage dropped to 20 mpg.
Don't let these figures scare you away from the enjoyment you'll have on three wheels. Just "ride it like you stole it".

1. How heavy your wrist is
2. Environment- Stop-n-go, back road cruising under 65 mph, Interstate riding over 70 mph, hills, headwind
3. How your trike is set up...stock, good or poor Stage I, etc.
The weight of you, your passenger and luggage will have very little effect on the MPG.
So, if you already know what kind of MPG you get with your riding style, then it is unlikely to vary much if you ride the same on your trip...except if you hit headwinds or hills you do not normally ride in.

I only ride solo.....That said i don't ride slow and i don't ride fast i just ride...
And i get 38 to 40....MPG's...Your mileage may vary...Also with a 6 gallon tank if you don't lill it exactly with the same amount each time.. Right to the very top every time' Unless you are going to park it right after you just filled it .. Just a few tenths of a Gallon more or less will throw your calculations off..

I agree, my experience is pretty much the same. Also on 3rd trike; had an 2011, 2013 and now a 2016. All were within a mile per gallon of each other

On our third trike, the latest a '17, and would have to say Postal Trucker is right on. We've gone 200 miles on a tank, but not worth the stress of wondering if we'd make it to the next gas station. We generally start looking for gas as soon as 125 or so miles. 150 miles is real comfy - time for a stretch break then anyway. At 175 miles those uncomfortable thoughts start coming on.
