18 Anniversary update
Well, it's just about time to take the T/G in for the 1K service.
Here's what I know so far:
1. They ride like crap when you pick them up from the dealer, you can fix this with some fairly inexpensive parts from DK Customs and some air adjustments
2. even the aniversery comes with out the Bumper and Winshield trim
3. They don't come with Blue Tooth or Satellite Radio (and the stock speakers are crap).
4. Wife absolutely loves Riding and that is worth gold.
5. Upper body strength is critical.
6. The 107 CI is much smoother than the 110
7. The brakes are impressive.
8. Having a T/G somehow makes you want a matching trailer to pull behind even if you don't need one. :-)
9. My 2 wheeled friends don't understand and probably never will. :-)

Our 2017 custom color rides just fine with the correct tire & air shock pressure you have to keep a close check especially the air shocks , and as far as the rear bumper & wind shield trim you gotta pay the HD tax and you can’t expect car audio on the trike ours sounds good even at 75 mph . And I have Boom stage 2 on my street glide special to compare to .

When you buy a CVO, it should come loaded up, when you buy an anniversary addition, it should come loaded up (IMO). All that said, first sentence says "Here's what I know so far:" I was not complaining, I am a very positive minded person, simply pointing out the things I have learned about my new bike in the 30 days I have owned it. The intent behind my post is to inform and solicit others experiances, perhaps some come with the trim and I just didn't get one of the lucky models :-)
Now, about the car audio, never did expect car audio, this is why I said the speakers are crap, I traded in a 13 RG CVO, the speakers were 10 X better and I too could run down the road and have relatively decent audio, the speakers on the new bike are clearly of a lesser quality and distort significantly sooooo. there's that.
Good to know the 2017 you bought came with better speakers (and ride).

I do agree that for the money Harley could do much better. Also they should offer the upgrades to the Tri as far as engines, bars, seats, wheels, and stereo. All put on at factory assembly. You could save at least the labor. Plus the cost of the OEM parts you would have to initially buy.
I hate this attitude of take it like we build it or go somewhere else!

1K is now behind me, couple things:
1. Clutch lever had a tight spot, disassembled, inspected and lubed.
2. Rough Idle, Usual response "That's Normal"
3. Sirius Radio poor reception, relocated antenna to the outside of the fairing, noticeable improvement.
Overall the bike runs smoother and shifts smoother since the 1K was performed, Dealership is not divulging any of the tricks behind that.
And no charge for anything, as it should be!

I know more people that have bought a Harley on impulse. Back in the day when you ordered a car it took 6 to 8 weeks to get it people are not going to wait 6 to 8 weeks to get there Harley and as stated most people by Harley on an impulse. I run across more Harleys that are 8 to 10 years old that have less than seven thousand miles on them. Right now there is a 2013 Tri Glide for sale that has 535 miles on it. Also most people don't test ride a Harley. Then are surprised they don't ride like a car.
