I am living in the Middle East. I am buying a Canadian configured trike. I want to be able to bring it to Europe when I move home. What do I need to do to get.a certificate of conformity for EU?

Tough question unless someone has experience doing just what you want to do. Might I suggest you contact one of the local HD Dealers? I know there is a dealer in Kuwait, for example, just not sure of where one is in Saudi.

I would ask the MoCo directly.
Are you trying to take it back to EU or to the Middle-East? The regulations are most likely different.

 

I Googled "uk rules for importing a vehicle from another country" and found a lot of what appears to be useful information there. Start there.

 

Not sure either , BUT... I tried to purchase a 2017 Honda Goldwing trike from the USA into Canada ! U cant get it in to Canada because the VIn # states it is not a trike. U can though Buy a wing in the USA and buy the kit separately from them and enter Canada with them , but you have to get a licensed dealer to install the kit before they will let you register it ! If it is a a HD Tri Glide you should be fine ! Stupid Canada laws ! Most USA dealers will say you will be fine until you get to the boarder.

Europe has some very strict regulations imports must meet. It is their way of controling sales and market. Bikes HD builds for export to Europe are different. Just as they are when sold in CA.
