My next project will be to replace my heim joints. I know they have play, but under warranty the dealer claimed they were in spec.

Mine will be a bit of a PITA, as I have an audio amp mounted in the tour pack, and a bunch of wires winning in to it. I’m thinking I’ll remove the tour pack, and suspend it from the garage ceiling, then remove the rest of the body.

Replaced the heims in mine a few months ago , as I posted , Harley Davidson does not offer the heim joints , but will sell you the whole track bar for $210.00 ! You can buy heims from a racecar supply house ,ie Jegs or Summit for $6 bucks each ! There is no need in replacing the bar ! Ebert

Maybe looking to replace the air shocks on my 2013 model with the same shocks that Kevin has on his, have not decided yet for sure. Been wondering about removing the rear trunk etc. on mine too. Does anyone know if the rear trunk/box is the same for a 2013 model?

Yes, it is the same. Just the connectors at the rear of the seat/front of the Tour-Pak, and then the 8 bolts.

Since I typically work alone, I'll likely attempt to strap the entire setup and lift with an engine hoist, Has anyone had any experience doing it this way, are there any tips or things to look out for, I priced a fender the other day and I sure don't want to damage anything.

Never done it that way myself, but I know there are a few guys here that have.

Hopefully they will post up...or you may be able to do a search and find where they've talked about it and posted pics.

Below is one of the videos we made with the body off.

This photo shows how strange it looks.

Very cool video, Kevin, thanks for doing that. I only got about 200 miles on so far this year with your 14" trike shock set up and only solo so far. But I do like the way the trike rides now, feel some bumps but the sharp jar is gone & have not bottomed out yet.
