Default trike belt adjustment

had the trike up in the air today and checked the belt while it was up. it checks right at 3/8 to 7/16 , right where specs. say it should be. anyone seeing problems with this ? it seems pretty tight to me. sure seems like this could take out some bearings in the long haul. i winder if they have changed the specs. n the newer trikes ? i am most likely worrying about nothing.

Any less tension on that drive belt will let it slip under load. When that happens it will take out cogs in the belt, and also wear the pulleys faster. It does seem very tight, but it isn't a problem with the rear bearings either. They are plenty heavy for that much load.
