I bet your trike's ride quality is almost night & day different, with those new rear dampers. Unfortunately, Harley has not made any noticeable improvements to their air shocks.

Before doing that, you should think about a pair of HHI +9deg raked trees. Those will transform your trike's steering feel and precision.

Oh great, Another $1000 upgrade, where will it all end.

Weld !

NOTE: For use with HHI weld-in frame piece for big wheel applications. Not intended for bolt on use without frame modification.

I hope they make one that does not require frame mods ?

My trike has a stock, unmodified frame, with HHI +9 trike trees. Big wheel trees are a completely different application. Talk to Zook, TrikeTalk owner, about trike trees. He sells them and knows his stuff.
I'm wanting a pair of the +12 trike trees. If I pull the trigger, I'll be selling my +9's.

More very relevant information I needed to know, thanks for the knowledge.

And when you are ready to sell the +9, please consider me as interested.

I don't see the need. Each wheel has its own suspension. If I hit a pothole with the left wheel, the left shock response. Of course, there is some transfer across to the other wheel but it is the left wheel that responds the most.
Because there is a differential, the wheels are able to turn at different speeds. A simple go-kart (i.e. solid axial) across with a simple sprocket and chain drags a wheel in turns. Most cheap go-karts get around that by having one driven wheel and the other free-wheels.

To have true independent suspension would probably require a CV-joint and all that entails. But that is a LOT more moving parts. I don't think the trade off of complexity is worth the gain, if any.

I test rode both at my dealers Trike Days marathon a few years ago. Over a bumpy road the IRS was better. Then I thought, How often do I ride on bumpy roads"? Almost never. So to spend an additional $5000+ to convert to IRS is stupidity on my part.
I switched to coil over shocks and the ride is great. Harley Air shocks are awful.
When I get my replacement TG, I'm replacing the air shocks ASAP.
