Default 1000 mi. + from home on 14 tri glide with problems!

Sorry to join needing help, but left mi. Last sat on my 14 tri glide that had 1500 miles. 1300 miles later I have been surprised twice with oil pressure light and check engine light upon starting bike. Turned off bike and all was fine. Now couple days later in Deadwood S.D. And same problem but hasn’t reset. Do I need to worry? Heading home in 36 hours and don’t want to hurt this trike. Any thoughts ?

If you’re worried, one of two things. Take it to a dealer and have it checked.
or rent a truck and trailer and tow home.

id take it in to a shop

i would ride it if the oil light is coming on. They can check it and see if it's the sending unit or oil pump with a gauge.

Take it to a dealer to check it out. Call the closest dealer to you, tell them you are traveling and they should help you out.

Default Help

It is hard to help when you don't really say where you are. I agree that most dealers will help you since you are traveling. Good luck.

Did you check the oil and make sure you are not low? If you are not low on oil, and it is not making any abnormal noise, then I would ride it to Rapid City HD and have them take a look...probably the sending unit or a loose connection.

If you are low on oil, do not ride it. Get to an auto parts store and get some oil and bring the level up to midway between the fill and full marks.

Hope you have a great rest of your trip!
