Default Hauling the TG in a Cargo Trailer

Had an inquiry about hauling the TG in my 6x12 tandem Cargo Trailer and thought I would post a few pics. First of all, it does fit. Not a lot of space on the sides to spare, but it does fit. I have done a Cargo Trailer Conversion on mine so that I can do some light camping. I have a bed on e-Tracks that I can raise for hauling the TG and lower for sleeping. I did get the electrical package so I could add an AC and fridge. Hauling the TG to Sturgis this year. First time I haven't ridden there.

From the front loaded

E-Track mounted

Added fridge, also on E-Track

Bed in raised position

Bed up, bike in. I switched to a 6" Memory foam mattress after this photo

Great pics, thanks for posting them! What is the material you have on the floor?

I got it from Home Depot. Link below. A lot of people glue it to the floor, I just used a whole bunch of big flat washers (BFW's). Seems to hold it down pretty good. I still have to do the ramp.

Are you adding some tie downs or using the E-Track to secure the rear of the T/G ?

It's going to be tricky getting up under the bike to secure it.

Just tying to the E-Track. I have it bolted to the cross members with some self tapping screws. Actually there a couple of pretty good places to tie to under the back. I pull all of the tie-downs toward the chock in the front, set the parking brake, put it in Neutral and chock the back wheels. I carried it to Phoenix and back from Kansas City, MO. I also disable the Security system so my battery won't be dead when I get there. No problems.

Just looking to help here so don't get annoyed.

Side to side movement can occur and can be devastating to the fenders, getting up under the T/G to ratchet down the bike can be difficult, placing too much downforce on the suspension is not a good idea either and it can damage the shocks.

Just a suggestion here, four point tie down pulling outward will keep the bike stationary, as little downward pull as needed will allow the bike to ride on it's on suspension (move up and down), I use soft straps around the spokes of the mag wheels so as not to scratch any painted surfaces. Two on the front wheel pulling opposite direction and one each on the rear wheels pulling outward to the side of the trailer, easy to access without crawling under the bike and secure for the unexpected bumps that send the trailer into the air.

If you place E-Tracs about 6" from the floor on each side of the trailer, you can lock just about anything down.

Don't know about the newer TGs my 15 has tie down points on the rear axle. They hold the trike down without loading the suspension.

That's what I use now. I also put some mover's type blankets on the fenders, just in case something comes loose.
