[QUOTE= If you have a RAV4, CRV type of vehicle you might want to consider a larger tow vehicle.[/QUOTE]
A RAV4 has a towing capacity of 1500#, but calling it an SUV is quite a stretch.

A triglide weigh 1243 pounds? (Looked it up.)

Sorry, that's just ridiculous.

Default Trike front wheel towing

Thanks to everybody for the advices. You made up my mind, there will be no trike towing unless the machine is on a trailer.

Concerning coastal cvo's questions: 1) the web page for the motorcycle front wheel system is: www.motorcycle-rack.com 2) I wanted to do the towing from the front wheel only. 3) it would have been used for short trip.

Again, thank you for the help. Ride safe.

The 1243 is with gas and oil. I'd say mine is real close to 1300 by the time I add raingear and this and that. If you have a 2000 lb. capacity Stinger has a folding trailer for trikes that weighs in at 510 lb. That would put you just over 1800. I did talk to the service dept. at one of the local dealers and he said he didn't see a problem with a flat tow as far as the tranny is concerned. But like noted if it popped into gear it would probably get very costly in a hurry.

I pull my 2015 Freewheeler (1125lb) on an aluminum trailer (Aluma TK1) weighing 550lb with a Subaru Outback 3.6 (6 cyl). Still way under the 3000lb limit for my car. No problemo. All the steel trailers i looked at were at least twice the weight. (And they rust)
