Default The dang trunk door latch.

I’ve had issues with my dang trunk door coming open since I bought my ‘12 TriGlide. I’ve done everything I can to resolve the issue except for taping it closed with Gorilla Tape.

Have there been any changes in the later models that addresses this issue?

Not that I know of. I used to have the problem until I went to closing the door gently and then giving it a good shove til I hear a click.

Mine has come open once, my buddy told me that someone told him to keep it locked while traveling so I have started doing that.

All the above is what I do. Close it gently then push closed until you hear it click, then lock it. I squirt WD-40 on it occasionally to keep it lubed. Hope this helps and works for you. I have a 2013 Anniversary Edition.

Maybe time for a new lock ? Lots of parts for something so simple.

I use TriFlow once a year on the side latches and lock mechanism. I also use a Silicone spray on a cloth and wipe the seals. When traveling, I lock the trunk.

I've had the door on mine pop twice. Now I push it till it clicks then a quick tug. It is a 15 and no problems since.

When you close it you need to hear a sweesh meaning all air is out> Don't even lock mine and has never come open.
