hey guys.....is it ok to mix 2 different brands of tranny fluid.......like syn3 and mobil1......i just check the fluid level and it's low......thanks in advance.

 

I wouldn't, but what do I know. I read somewhere a while back that you should never mix oils. There will probably be many comments here in a few minutes.

 

 

I agree. Some transmissions have been migrating fluid to the primary. To be sure, pull the derby cover and check the primary fluid.

I'd change it out just to be safe.
Where do you usually maintenance it?
When was it replaced last?

Just warm up the motor and do a drain and fill....and don't forget to buy more than one quart....I change mine every 10k....
