I hate handlebar wiring...
Okay, new handlebars, to run the wires internal, had to pop the connectors and reconnect. Yesterday in the Hill Country, got a check engine light, thank gawd I have an FP3. Error codes (didn't screen cap them dammit) were something about switches not talking right, two inputs didn't match, and a warning that I might go to limp mode. Luckily I didn't.
Other symptom was the cruise control would *not* kick off by grabbing the front brake. Scary but the back brake still cancelled it, as did the cruise control button.
Anyone else gone through this? I'd prefer to tear down as little as possible, of course.

I've done a few bar changes & never had a problem until a couple days ago. Lite was on & the cruise didn't work. Came home & removed the fairing & checked all my connections. I think the left side connection wasn't snapped in all the way. I took it out for a 20 mile ride & all was good. To cold & rainy now to put more miles on now. All I can suggest is to just recheck your connections. Good luck

I have done 2 bar changes in the last 3 months trying to find the ones I like the best. When I bought my used '16 Trike it had wild one chubby's which were too low so I bought the Kromewerks 2+2 wide sweepers and pulled the wires down without tearing them apart(just staggered the connectors and taped lawn edger chord to it) struggled a little but got it.Those bars were better but still to low so I went to KST six bend bars(they are 1.25" bars and the wires pulled easy took about 20 minutes with the connectors still on. I hope this is the last time though.
