Default Should I remove my trailer hitch before selling my TriGlide

I’ve decided to downsize my fleet, and sell my beloved 2012 TriGlide. I’m doing some preparation work, and am debating if I should remove my trailer hitch before listing it for sale. I only used it for a luggage platform, and to fly PGR flags.. i don’t have a wiring hookup for it either, But, I am concerned that potential buyers might be turned off thinking I pulled a 1,000 pound trailer with “Big Red”.

So...should I remove it, or keep it On!

I would take it off. I know if I was going to buy a used one that would be a deal killer.

You'll get more for the hitch taking it off and selling the kit by itself than letting it go with the bike.

I agree with TBob, I think a buyer would be turned off with the potential use the hitch had, despite your actual use.

I would take it off and selling privately.

I'm hearing stories that the 2 factory T40 screws in the rear crossmember, near the mufflers, need to be removed to install the hitch and can be a real bear to get out.
Anyone care to comment on this?

What kind of luggage platform did you have? I'm thinking of getting one

I've been thinking about mounting a trailer hitch on my Tri-Glide for use as a means of carrying a cargo box like those used on ATV's.
Is a trailer hitch compatible with a read bumper?

Took of hitch on 2013 Tri-Glide for trade-in this week on a 2019. Will have hitch/wiring harness for sale.
