A stupid question...
Can I ask a stupid question?
I just received a set of Cyclesmith Banana Boards for the rear (passenger)
boards But before I cut open the plastic bags, ( 20% restocking fee ) can someone let me know how
to remove the stock boards? Do I pry the springy rubber mats off?
Thanks for the help

You can use a small, flat blade screwdriver to push the little rubber tips up and out of the metal floorboard.
Using a small amount of lubricant (or dishwashing liquid) will help in removing them and use a pair of pliers when pulling the rubber tips through the floorboards when installing your new pads. Use a little, careful side-to-side motion when pulling the rubber tips through the floorboards.
If you're using the OEM mounts for the new metal floorboards, you'll have to remove the metal retaining pins but it's a simple set-up as you will see as soon as you get the rubber pads off.

Well thanks to you all and especially to Dave at Harleysville Motorcycles who sold the Banana Boards to me.
Here is a few pictures of the install which went very smoothly:
Dante
tap out the pins to remove the board
Careful not to lose this ball bearing!
Template in place ready for metal punch
chase the board threads with the screws supplied. much easier while it it on the workbench.
Done!
