Default Battery Recommendation

I have a 2016 Tri Glide ultra and I have always replaced my batteries every couple of years and i used a OEM Harley one in my 2003 Screaming Eagle the last time I replaced one.

This time around I am looking at using an Odyssey model which are made in USA, not China like the Harley ones are and wondered if anyone out there has had any experience with the Odyssey brand?

i know the charging system on the Harley is a funky one and I don’t want to run into any stator issues by using the wrong type of battery. Especially with all the new high tech ones they have on market.

Also looking at the newer Lithium Ion models by Harley, any recommendations would be appreciated.

Battery Mart - USA made Big Crank ETX30L would be my only recommendation. Bullet-proof, rock solid, and reliably dependable every time and always.

I have the Odyssey batteries in two of our Softails but they are rarely ridden (kept on tenders) so I can't really give an opinion about them.
They just happened to be on sale at battery-mart.com when I needed batteries so I bought them.
Just be aware that they are slightly smaller than the OEM size so I had to use their optional terminals (along with some heavy carboard) as spacers in the battery box.

I replace the battery in my "road bike" after two years of service and I always buy them from battery-mart.com that are delivered right to my front door. I think they're as good as the OEM's and they're about 1/2 the price.

Can't beat Battery Mart batteries or quick service. Just installed one in my trike and all my friends use them also. Seems to be a good battery.

After talking to my local dealer service folks and reading the forums, just going to get the AGM USA made battery from the local dealer and go with it. I try and support the local dealer folks as much as I can. The only time I will buy something online is if I can’t get it locally.

My original oem battery lasted almost 7yrs. I replaced it with a Yuasa battery and have been very pleased with it.

Decided to go with the Harley OEM AGM USA made battery and I am happy with the decision. I still would like to get a lithium battery down the road, once they have been out for a while and some of the issues I have read about have been resolved.

Harley Batteries are made by East Penn Manufacturing in Pennsylvania. That is in the USA, not China!
