Default hasn't anyone noticed?

Hasn't anyone noticed the buffeting and colder air coming from beneath the fairing on the TriGlide?Around 50 degrees it's much colder than my Ultra. The fairing is angled more and let's the dirt and debri up and under my glasses.

The fork baffle from HD won't work because of the dampener being in the way.Is anyone else bothered by this and is there a way to reduce the buffeting?

thanks,
T K

I've noticed too. Buffeting comes up right over the fronts of the gas tank. On my SERK, I used the fork baffle. I'd like to see if there is an alternate mounting idea to use the current fork baffle. Maybe if we drop the baffle down about an inch or so, we could clear the damper. I don't know, but I'm about fed up having that wind come up over the tank like that. At least the header pipe isn't cooking me to death now that it's cooler out.

Since I put on a lower windshield, I don't notice it.

What are you running for a windscreen Iron?I have a 9" Clearview lip from my old Ultra(07).I thought it would be worse.Thinking about making a cloth shield tied off in four corners.

Thanks,
T K

Yes I have also noticed it too. I get a lot more air than I did on my 08 Ultra. Must be because of the extra rake the Tri has. I hope someone comes up with something to help with this one.

Rob did the 9" help with the air coming from under the fairing?Mine is not comfortable if it is cold out or dirty road.It blows dirt into my eyes from under the glasses.I have stock screen on there now.Say the word and I will switch to Clearview.

TK...I have the 10" HD light-smoke windshield. I do miss the air deflectors I had on my EGC. With damper and change in frame, haven't found any that fit on the TG.

Howdy B,
I'm going to make one out of a big hanky, tie it to the mirror stems and the crash bars.Just to see what it does.It should block the updraft, should not foul the steering dampener and won't scratch anything.Bet that air is nice in the summer. What irks me is the whistle and roaring in my helmet.

gobble,gobble everyone,

T K

I have the 10" smoke shield from HD, just like Barbs. The only time I feel all the buffeting you are talking about is when I have the shields on either side of the fairing in an open position. It doesn't take much, just a crack. I couldn't stand that, even in the summer, as the wind would get up under my glasses.
Maybe the air is leaking around those shields.
