Default Windshield height

I was wondering what your oppinions are on windshield heights. Looking through the stock windshield in the rain is terrible. I have tried a type of Rain X from Harley and it was a joke. I was told that your line of sight should be about a inch above the windshield.

I use the standard windshield and wear a 3/4 helmet with face shield. When it rains I use the face shield. Looking through the windshield and face shield is a challenge. There is really no good way to do it.

I have the Clearview 6.5" smoked recurve to look over. Perfect for me. I'm 65" tall.

You guys ought to talk to someone about a Klock Werks Flair windshield. I'm getting one after I get the fairing on my Deluxe color matched. The Flair windshield directs the air up and over the rider, so you get hardly any buffeting like you do with a stock HD windshield. My Uncle has one on his Tri-Glide and when I rode it I didn't feel any wind at all (could even smoke while riding).

I use the stock windshield. After cleaning it I use paste wax, helps with the rain problem.
