Default Difficulty riding Trike and 2 wheels?

Hi

I am looking for feedback from those who may be riding Trike as well as 2 wheels.

I love my riding experience of 2 wheels and am only adding the Tri glide for safer riding with my young daughter.

intended to ride both machines, often in the same day.

Will I have trouble? I have heard that I will need to make a choice.

I am not sure that is true.

I ride tractors, quads and my Softail. I don't get confused as to which one I
am riding, and how to handle.

Will there be a challenge to ride the Trike and the Softail, switching rides
randomly from day to day, or even on same day?

Anybody enjoying both rides? And if you have thoughts or experiences, I would love to hear them.

Warm regards,

Purple Daze

I don't find it difficult at all, but that's me....I don't think you'll experience any problems.

Once you learn how to ride the trike to the point that is now second nature; I don’t think that there should be any problem in jumping off the trike and on to the two wheeler. Just remember which is which and keep your feet off the ground on the 3 wheeler and put them down on the 2 wheeler!

Back in the late 70's I had a Sportster and a Servi-car. That was during my drinking days, and regularly getting drunk I would forget which one I was on and forget to put my feet down on the Sportster among other stupid things and decided to sell the servi-car before I killed my self switching back and forth.

Now that I'm sober we have a 2009 Triglide and 2010 EGUC. I do not have any problems switching back and forth between the two cycles. They do have the same switch set up and gear pattern but drive differently needless to say.

Like theJimer said "Once you learn how to ride the trike to the point that is now second nature;there should not be any problems"

I ride the TG and Spyder as you know. Two different rides and very different controls.Takes me a couple of minutes to reset my mind as to which one I am riding. Many times I automatically put my foot down even on a three wheeler without thinking about it. You should have no problem whatsoever. I think our bodies do many things invoulentairly. Hope I spelled last word correctly.

Hi. I'm with you all. I think they are 2 very different machines, and the ride and the handling will be apart enough that the mind will automatically pilot. The urgent problem can be the moment of confusion of "feet up" or " feet down"!

I switch back and forth all the time as you can see in my sig pic I own a Triglide and an Ultra Classic. I have no problems taking a 3,000+ mile trip on the trike and then getting home and jumping on my Ultra.
