Default Major Trip West

My TriGlide is a 2011 model. Stock with a few function items. Mr riding buddy and our wives decided to follow the Lewis and Clark Trail. He also is riding a stock 2011. We are cheating by Trailering to locations and then riding for several days at those destinations.
We have covered 2500 miles to date and have covered, Billings,MO, Missulla, MO, Whitefish,MO, Cody, WY, Yakima,WA, Lincoln City, OR, and will finish up in Bend,OR.
The point of all this is that we are all able to pick out the faults of the Trikes, including myself who has replaced the rear storage lock twice and have a hot right foot, but, on this trip we have gone thru 11,900 ft passes and run 75 on the interstates.
Bottom line, bikes are running great with no issues. We are both getting about 35 MPG and are both heavily loaded riding 2 up.
We all paid too much but the Trikes are keeping the wind going thru our hair.
Trip of a lifetime, going well

Sounde like you are having a GREAT time. On August 4th my bride and I are going to start riding to Yellowstone. From where I live it is 1890 miles away. Of course we will be making some side trips along the way.

I'm jealous. I really want to ride to Jellystone. Its a long way from Davy Crockett country but we want to do it as soon as my shop load drops off. Its our dream to ride up through SD, across MT and down into Yellowstone, then down to Lost Wages, to Gallup, OK City and home.
Oldmsocko, let us know of your journey, we'll be watching.

Be more than happy to. I just can't wait. Was headed there last year when my TG broke down in North Platte Nebraska and cost me and M3 the trip.

No shame in optimizing vacation time or making the most of any trip.

For nearly twenty years we've been doing our version of "drive, fly & ride".
(I trailer out and my wife flies to a local airport and we ride until she has to fly home).

We've had some great times and have been able to see a lot of the U.S that we wouldn't have been able to see had my wife had to drive or ride both out and back on limited vacation time.
