So is this saying that will change out the rotors on a 2009 thats out of warranty and has squeling brakes since day one??
The new rotors are made of cast iron (I would think actually malleable Steel) & the oem is a harder steel.
The Cast iron doesn't polish like steel does against the pad. Much more open grain metal.
Will it work ??? Cars use cast rotors......... I think the proper pad against the cast rotor will work much better.
The rotor still isn't drilled for cooling, nor is it finned in the center like a sandwich like an auto rotor. Also I think the '14's have an inch bigger rotor. Just what I've heard, haven't been able to find the exact specs nor found one to measure. It would make for much better braking !!
But then again Harley really hasn't taken brakes seriously !! Until now ?? We shall see.........
I'd call my dealership and ask. The way I read it, they will replace them only if its still under warranty.

You're miss reading it Bubba. All its saying is there are two ways for the dealer to get reimbursed for the work and parts supplied. First would be if the Tri Glide is still under warranty then file the claim as a warranty claim. If the Tri Glide is no longer under warranty then file the claim pursuant to the Service Bulletin Number.
