What did you do to Your Tri-Glide Today?

Friday we went to the Green Bay HD dealership to sign up for the Jerry Parins Ride for Cancer and set up an appointment for warranty work on the front brake lever losing pressure when the Tri Glide sits overnight. Saw a '17 with the same color scheme. Asked my favorite salesman to get a sharp pencil and give me a quote trading in the '15. He came back with a deal I couldn't refuse: same payments, nothing to boot. Went home with the '17. Swapped out the bumper, extended shift peg and LED front turn signals. Had to buy a new trunk lid luggage rack.
'15 - '17 Ride Comparison. Easier steering/better front ride. Better overall ride both alone and two up - smoother, less bottoming out. Throttle response is smooth (there's that word again) with a good low end to steady torque curve. It seems to me to be a little less responsive at higher speeds (passing) but still plenty of punch. The low idle speed is a little disconcerting at first but I'm getting used to it. The M-8 doesn't rattle quite like the old one but it's still a Harley. Still have a few heat issues on the right side. I'll report back as I get rack up more miles. Ride Safe.

We've been impressed with the M8. Got a report on them right HERE.

Yesterday I adjusted the foot pegs and cleaned up the trike a bit, before heading over to Sandusky, Ohio, where I joined 461 other riders from all backgrounds in escorting The Wall That Heals on a great 1 3/4 hour ride to Bellvue, Oh where it got set up for display. Quite the turnout along the streets through the five towns we went through on the way there; thousands turned out. The support of the local and state law enforcement, local bike dealerships and indys, communities, local organizations, Veterans Services, Patriot Guards, VFWs and many many others was simply amazing! American flags like crazy everywhere along the route, traffic stopped in opposing lanes on the 4-land highways just because they wanted to, five huge flags suspended between ladder trucks from many communities and numerous others. One of the LLEOs even stood at attention, holding a salute the whole time, vets out everywhere that got lots of silent, respectful nods. Everyone behaved wonderfully and not a single bike or behavior incident, although one guy needed help and stopped. Brought a tear to many eyes.

Tri Geezer, See other post about rod ends. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/tri-g...placement.html I listed a left and Right Hand thread. They are both Right Hand tread. My bad memory again. Call Frank at QSC, they will let you exchange them out. Sorry about the confusion.
