Installed the DK Custom Products wind deflectors and went for a test ride.

At first I wasn't sure, still enough air coming up from between the tank and fairing on this hot and humid day, but not nearly as much right in the middle. I could feel more air flow off of them down under the tank sides on the motor, so that's good. Still just a touch of helmet buffeting, but less and at a lower frequency. Then I noticed something.

Had the stereo coming through the helmet speakers, and I could definitely hear it better, and could hear the wife on the intercom much better. Much less noise under the shield. I was actually able to knock the VOX back three notches without it kicking in and out off of my mic. A calm day, so no side wind, not sure it will make much difference when it's windy, but we'll see.

So we're well pleased, noticeably less helmet bobble, I used to get a lot, and an unexpected improvement in using the front intercom. The wife noticed the intercom not cutting in and out, but no real change otherwise, she doesn't get any buffeting anyway.

I also went another click counterclockwise on the Pro Action shocks adjustment, and some ripples on the bad road into town went away; still could feel the bigger ones, but the smaller ones essentially disappeared. This was my second adjustment, I might try one more click, but overall even better than before on this setting. Fortunately they are repaving that road, it was the worst in this part of the whole state, the last three miles home were getting pretty painful. We went on a 320 mile jaunt on the weekend and everything was great until hitting that stretch even with the new shocks.

The next mod this fall will probably be progressive springs in the front. But next month's 10 day jaunt up to Maine should be more enjoyable now!

I didn't do anything in particular to the trike today, but yesterday we helped a buddy load a house full of stuff into a moving van; as we were loading the garage stuff, he looked at me and said hey, do you want this motorcycle lift? I don't want to haul it half way across the country, and I never use it. I said yes, how much do you want for it? And he said oh, just take it, we owe you big time for all your help today.

Can't find a name on it, but it's rated 1500 pounds, so it should work with the trike. Now all I have to do is figure out how to use it properly. Lots of threads here on that.

Mighty Mites are a motor saver in my book

Went for evening ride approx. 75 miles checking out rewired Love jugs sort of shake down ride all is good. I still cannot believe even at 80* our Triglide runs 20 to 25 degrees cooler than without them. That is just plain nuts... Ride safely Fred

Installed the M8 Finned Spark Plug Covers and Tour-Pak Side Marker Light Trim. According to the HD site, you don't have to remove the covers to access the spark plug.
