1000 mile service cost
I checked the price on the 1000 mile service and was surprise at the price quotes for the same service all with syn 3 oil at the HD dealers around my area, from a low of $255 to a high of $390. What did your first service cost you? One shop stated it was 3.5 hours of labor plus adjusting the parking brake, makes me wonder what you get for the $255 service, guess I will have to find out in detail.

Free! and no I did not pay for it with purchase price. MSRP was all we paid. Many dealers put it right in the deal so that they keep you happy for the survey, and find any issues that would possibly cost them, and HD on warranty later. I was there when they did the service and know they did everything that was needed. It was about 2.75 hrs.

I recently had the 1K service done on my '14 TriGlide. I was prepared to do the oil/filter change myself, but the dealer guys talked me into bringing it in, since the 1K service covered s lot more than just an oil change... checking all important fasteners, etc. for tightness, and all other critical adjustments. "The 1000 mile service is the most important one your bike will ever get." i was a little (a lot) shocked when the service manager at East Orlando HD said that it would be $450! i mentioned that only a month ago, I had bought one of the most expensive bikes in the dealer inventory, and he knocked $100 off, but even the GM said they couldn't do any more. Needless to say, I will do all my own oil changes from here on!

"Over the years we have purchased 4 Harleys from Antelope Valley Harly. First service has always been free. REALLY like that dealership.

Like some of the other folks said, I was given the 1000 free as part of the sale.
Same for me... 1000 mile check was done for free by Tucson Harley Davidson.
