New from Florida looking to buy Trike
Hi folks. New guy just saying hello. I ride a 2007 ultra. Preparing to sell it due to injuries and buy a trike. Any advice is appreciated.

Take a ride to Pensacola FL for a great deal on a trip glide. Best HD dealer around. Ask for Marcus, tell him I sent you.
You will be glad you did. |
At first it's a little different, not hard to ride, just different. Caught myself one time trying to put the kick stand down. You'll love it.

great buys on trike on ebay...GL are sorry to hr about injuries.
Ride safe bro |
Unfortunately, trikes bring top dollar in Florida. If you can, buy one in New England or Minnesota. If you can't do that and you're near Central Florida, talk with Jen (daughter) or Keith (father) at Seminole H-D in Sanford. Don't know about the dealer in Pensacola, but that's really Alabama anyway, lol

Advice? Buy the most you can afford. 2017 would be the best, new left over 2016 percent or a used with low miles

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in the process of detailing my ultra. Pulling all the chrome and buffing it back to beautiful. Using a professional stand up buffer. Lot of work but phenomenal results.
I'm retired military, got banged up pretty bad in Iraq. Time has taken its toll on all the old surgery sights. I don't want to give up on riding, it's my therapy. Lol. A trike is my goal. Can't afford a new one so looking for something in the 18 to 20k range. |

First off, from one vet to another, welcome back and welcome to the forum. My buddy and I bought new 2016 TG's at the end of the model year from Six Bends in Ft. Myers. Because of the 2017's coming out we were able to get them down into the $28,000 to $29,000 range.
Keep checking the internet for dealers stock in Florida for used Trikes. I suspect with the new motors they will start taking in more used ones. We frequent Six Bends and Black Widow (Port Charlotte) dealers all the time and I will keep an eye out for you. Sometimes they will get one in but it won't be on their site for a week or so. |
Welcome to the Forum!
Hope you get top $ for your Ultra. I would give one a test ride...it is different than a bike, more like riding a 4 wheeler (ATV) as far as steering input. But don't worry, they are a blast to ride! :) Then research and decide what you want. Once you know you can start shopping around by phone to narrow down the prospects. btw, this thread may be interesting to you- https://www.hdforums.com/forum/tri-g...-3-wheels.html |
