Who hates when they have to wash there trike and have to take off there fender bras every time. I know I do, here are some pics that I did to my trike to fix that. Right or wrong I'm happy with my dicision and like to share it you all. Snap faciners with screws into fender and hammer into leather. Bought these at home depot for around 5 dollars. As you can see I put 3 snaps in each one, but if I would of put the first two out farther towards the ends I might of only used two per fender.

That would be a good way to take them off and on. I have never had to take my taillight off to remove mine, they just unhook and re-hook around front of fenders. Not sure I would need to drill holes and put snaps on my fenders.

I've had them on 3 trikes and you are correct. Just unhook them from the front of the fender.

Just returned from a 3000 mile trip. One of my fender bras blew off while on road and was flapping behind the trike. No damage but I removed both and won't use them again. Also put a small hole in one from what I don't know...

Those snaps are pretty useful to have around. A lot of times instead of bungees I'll use them with a piece of thick webbing (a couple of males and females on the ends,) like making luggage rack hold down straps for the bag we use.

We've got the lighted chrome rail things on the fenders, found a couple of ATV fender bags we use on them for trips, I made some clips and those get a bungee cord to the rails; the fenders are right out there in the air stream and things get beat up a lot more. But the bags do protect the fenders. I also get some clear vinyl and it clings to the paint below them, keeps the paint protected and just peels off; might not be a bad idea to put some under your bras if they move around any.
