Triglide Rearend Lift

I made new shock brackets and brought the rear up 1 1/2 inches. Sets level now finally. Don't drag entering or leaving drives anymore even with Monster Rounds.https://www.hdforums.com/forum/[IMG]...z/DSC00595.jpghttp://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...z/DSC00595.jpghttp://i225.photobucket.com/albums/d...z/DSC00591.jpg

Sweet! This is what I was talking about in my butt sag post.
I like the look, guess you could make them one inch instead of one and a half...

Nice work.

Sure does look better.

Wow! I'll bet it's a breeze to pull those wheels off! I wonder how it handles though?
Jerry, looks like you could have a money-maker there!

Lift

They could be made with any lift up to 1 1/2 inches, we have made 1 1/4 also and have been running them on a 2010 for a year. The second set at 1 1/2 was just to see how it will turn out. Not much difference in handling at all just better looks and no dragging. They are easy to put on in about an hour. Put the first set on with out taking the wheels off, but I took my wheels off as I have a stiff neck and have trouble seeing under anything short of airplanes. I like the trike setting level and the tour pak looks better also. It all looks more level after the rear is raised. No handling affects at all but you can feel the difference setting in the seat, you seem to set up with better posture and my back feels better when ridding longer. Well that is my impression, its not a fix all just seems to feel better in my back setting up better. I know it made a difference in seeing over the windshield. They are not easy to make as you have to cut 3/8 plate steel and weld a nut on for the shock. The second set I had plasma cut which is better but costs. The stock bracket from Harvey Dawson costs $75.00 each, I thought of modifying a set of these but decided to just make the whole thing. I am pleased with the results as far as looks and posture and getting the wheels off is also much easier. Thanks Jerry

Did you say welding, torches, plama arc? Well that falls into ol frugal boys definition of a cheap mod! Will definately check this one out! I dread pulling a tire the way mine is and wore the bottoms off my 4" SE Mufflers. I believe I also like the lifted look better!

Thanks for posting!

Yea! If it involves a welder and a hot wrench, I'm all over it!:icon_goofygrin:

Lift

Here is a picture of both lifts the red is 1 1/4 and the black is 1 1/2 inches, you can just see the difference. Put 2 hundred miles today and I can tell in the way I sit the difference is very noticeable. At first I had to pull the mirrors down they were looking up in the sky. Wind deflection is also better because the windshield is more straight up. Hard to believe the differences in just 1 1/2 inches up in the rear. You can really see the difference in the tire to wheel well, the fender height on the tire. I think if you edit your pictures by hitting the enter key between picture links and putting the images on separate lines. It'll be much easier to read your posts and view your photos without scrolling. Just a thought...
