How about being able to leave the passing lamps on with the high beam. I know you can have the dealership do this why can't the FP3

 

I know this is an older thread, but how about being able to flash my ECU to turn on/off things, maybe like cruise control?

YES. I expect to pay a fee for resetting the FP3 for another bike, but having to buy a new one is expensive--particularly when you consider all of the other costs of buying a different bike.

 

An accredited web course would be nice. I could learn the nuances of the FP3 architecture and earn college credit at the same time.

 

I miss hard copy instruction manuals! However, every software update opens the door for the instructions to change and not work. Therefore, the on-line download of a current instruction manual is a better approach in the tech world in which we live. My suggestion is that if a software update changes how to use any feature on the FP3 that a revised electronic instruction manual and the software update through which it is effective should be published online. It would also be handy if V&H notified customers that a new manual is available and the web address to find it.

I just installed my first FP3 while doing a Stage 1 upgrade on my 2017 1200T. I can't think of anything that I would change. What motivated me to buy a FP3 was that it is a simple, straight forward install that enabled me to do the Stage 1 upgrade without paying a dealer a small fortune for an easy DYI project. My only suggestion is that V&H should put another person or two on a dedicated Help Line to assist FP3 owners with fixing problems and unexpected DTC messages to improve access to help when needed.
