Does the 179 include a tablet? what if we dont need a tablet?

 

The price does include the tablet. At the moment this is the only method I offer the product. I tried a "Bring Your Own Device" option during beta testing and it was an endless troubleshooting effort (think TONS of different devices and quirks). By offering it this way I can ensure functionality and provide better support.

Put the tablet on your bench and let it stream music to a bluetooth speaker or watch YouTube videos while doing bench work. I have several clients that do just that (me too sometimes when I am working on transmissions).

Very interested in this as well. Would love to be able to buy this without the tablet as I have no need for an extra one and it would save me some money.
Also I have a 2012 Road Glide Ultra and from what I understand CAN BUS was not available until after 2012. Just want to make sure I get the right one.

Tablet option is the only version I sell at the moment.

As for CAN bus vs J1850, the Road Glide went CAN bus in 2014 (you can verify by looking at the # of pins in your diagnostic connector on the left side of your bike behind the hard bag and panel (has a rubber plug in it usually). 4 pins = J1850, 6 pins = CAN.
