HARLEY VLD, 74" HIGH COMPRESSION 'SPORT' SOLO

25,193 miles. Fresh 5k paint job on the original tin. Frame, motor, wiring, all reflect a preserved bike. The side car was mated to the VLD after factory. It is a leaning frame with brake. The side car body & interior are made to HD specs., with hand made interior springs on oak backing. Very correct..

It is Teak Red with Silver.. Patina is consistent. Cylinder Heads are the original "hot stuff" TNT heads, marked120-33 Front, and 120-331 Rear, with longer inlet stubs introduced in1933 specific to VLD. Cases are 1934.

Vin # is 34VLD1639 making it the 639th VLD produced in 34. The VLD is the High Compression 'Sport' Model, therefore the most powerful HD. 1934 is the first year of High Deco "Airflow Streamlining", significant in saving HD from going under during the depression. It is the first HD to emphasize "lifestyle" rather than "utilitarian" purpose.

It also held the production bike speed record of 104mph... Preserved bikes are much more scarce than restored bikes. I left the patina everywhere it belongs. Starts first kick, Runs great and rides great. Earliest studs & fringe on the original leather buddy seat..

Options include; Steering Dampener, Floor Board Extensions, Corbin Speedometer, Buddy Seat & High flow Exhaust.. Also sporting the first year available optional 18" wheels. Head lamp is Cycle Ray by Guide with original lens. White kicker blocks are NOS original. Shift **** is an original Harley Davidson accessory **** with mother of pearl jewel.
