DK Tank Lifts, What You Didn't Know, Need To Know, Want To Know, Updated Weekly!!!!!!

I have seen those angled riser bushings but im not sure if they work in a springer, I tried researching it but come up with mixed results. The risers I got are 1/4" inch taller and I'm gonna get the 1 1/2" dk tank lift as well so I should be good to go. I'll post pics when I'm all done.
I had clearance issues with the fork mounted speedo housing on my Breakout. This was overcome for a 3" lift by installing 10 degree angled riser bushings. The narrow horizontal section of my apes, relative to my straight stock bars, actually improved bar/tank clearance.
The best way to insure you'll have necessary clerances is to do the other mods first then do the quick and easy "trial lift" as per the DK Custom site. At that point, the calculation for how much a 10 degree bushing will move your bars forward is:
Length of riser shaft (center of handlebar horizontal to top of tree) x 0.1763

It could hit the quick releases but that doesn't necessarily mean that it will. We always suggest, before purchasing any tank lift, checking for clearance.
It is easy to check for clearance:
1. With bike on kickstand, take the bolt out of the front of your tank.
2. Loosen (do not remove) the bolt at the rear of your tank.
3. Turn your handlebars all the way to the left and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
4. Turn your handlebars all the way to the right and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
Be careful when lifting your tank, you do not want to hit it against something (forks, handlebars, trees, blinkers, etc.) when checking for clearance.
