Default Looking into getting an 08 VRod 3k miles

Looks like I am getting a deal on a 08 VROD with 3k Miles for $6k. New to bikes, no scratches, no accidents on the vin, what should I look for when getting a used bike? Thank you in advance!

If there are no cosmetic indicators and you ran the vin with 3000 miles you should be good to go?

The engines are pretty much bullet proof. It has Rinehart pipes so should have a fuel adder or a tuner on it some where? It could of had a ECM reflash also? Need to confirm it has had some sort of tune with the pipes? If not should add one?

Good luck and $6000 is a good deal on that bike with the miles.

Dennis

Looks like a good deal to me, my 03 is still running strong, no issues ever. Solid platform.

The Vrods are a solid bike. Had a Nightrod for years with zero problems. All that you need to do is add gas and change the oil.

With that low mileage check the maintenance records. Might have been a long time between oil changes. If the last oil change was at a thousand miles the oil probably has water in it.

I bought an 8 year old bike, with 2k miles on it. No problems, but my dealer changed all the fluids, and put new tires on it, before I rode it.
Check the tire dates. Buy new if over 6 years.
