The VRod is truly too advanced for the average HD owner. It was done to take a move into the future. The aging HD owners did not take to it. Younger riders over all don't buy Harleys. I say get it and have fun. I really liked my VRSCB

I had a 2015 Night Rod it had no leak but traded her in for a 2017 HD Breakout.

2017 should have a warranty. The VRSC line is gone, Been disassembled and removed from the Kansas City Plant. The VRSC line could not meet the tougher Euro standards. The Euro market was the biggest consumer of the VRSC line. That is the reason Harley is buying Ducati.

The most common cause of oil leak is improper reinstallation of the vent hoses to the air cleaner bottom after removal. 2nd most common is probably the stator seal.it gets hard and shrinks over to. My 04 just started to weep a little last year.

If HD ever wants me to buy another new bike the Vrod will have to come back in a new configuration without the drag bike influence. I loved the one I had even though low speed steering sucked and after 300 miles of riding I had to get off of it. Kept it for 4 years though.
