Default VROD leaked oil

One morning there was a small pool of oil under my vrod then I started the engine and it piked out a 1/4 gallon of oil onto the floor?

When I had a VRod, the oil lines were the reason for the leak I had. But, I didn't get that much dumped on the floor.

So upon more investigation I found this. The oil filter was deformed so I though it was cause by a defaulted filter so I changed the oil and after starting it up it immediately did the same thing. Built up pressure, deformed the filter until it blew it out. Also there was some metal shavings on the drain plug and only 3000 miles since oil change. Now I will have a look at the oil pump hoping that I see the reason for the pressure release valve not opening. Any insight into this from other Vrod owners or HD mechanics would be appreciated.

I'd have to look at the manual again for the oil routing. But I'm thinking your pump is gonna be toast too. The strainer in the pickup can only Filter down so much and it goes to the pump then the filter... I'll look this afternoon.

Was it a dbd/stuck pressure relief valve?

So I replaced oil pump and found that the pressure release valve was seized.Still leaking oil so now I took it to the HD dealer. Output bearing on the trany gone so now the motor is out and plenty of scaring all over the engine.
Wow, WTF, looks like a new engine might be cheaper. How do you have a 2015 HD with 42k miles, all servicing completed on time and mostly by dealers now worth nothing!
