2013's?
 

I have a great opportunity to pick up a 2013 night rod for a great price. Its got about 5500kms (3000 miles). When i take a look at it- any vrod specific issues i should check?

I just picked up a 2013 Muscle two weeks ago. Couldn't really find anything specific since the V-rods are pretty bullet proof so, I just did the normal test ride and check for leaks. I made sure the trans shifted properly. I also checked for any leaks on the forks(inverted). Im very happy with mine! Runs HAAARD!

Nice ride HDfan! Thanks for the response- yeah im going to do the regular motorcycle inspection- and test ride. Its very low miles(kms)and it looks great in pictures- but ive learned that pictures dont show everything. The riding season is coming to an end around here soon- its a good time to find some good deals.:icon_beerchug:

Tires are getting old (6 year rule) regardless of mileage. Replace them.
How much are they asking?

Thanks BBM- my 92 needs tires first- i will get those done early spring- then evaluate the others. The bike is all stock except the mufflers ive seen in the pics the seller sent me, are all silver (brushed alum) with no black end caps. All the stock mufflers ive seen have black end caps. So i will ask about that.
The seller was asking 12500 (cdn) all summer with no bites. He took my offer of 10000(cdn).

Sorry guys- i wish i had good news- but the deal fell through. We couldnt come to an agreement on delivery time- and all of a sudden- winter is here already. Oh well, foiled again. Im sure i can find other ways to spend my money! Lol

I have a 2013 I bought abut a year ago. The ABS module went within 6 months. It sounds like when they get condensation in them they freeze up with corrosion. It was about an $800 job from Harley. I hope this helps future owners. Great bike otherwise.
