I am not a mechanic but i believe you are talking about a Harley branded Kent-Moore scan tool.
Try contacting Kent-Moore or https://www.otctools.com/
If it is just a broken connector on the cable maybe you can get the tip replaced or just fix the cable...avoiding mostly very expensive products.
A few clear and detailed pictures might help someone that has more experience on the forum to assist with a more detailed response.
For example : a picture of the cable, a picture of each end of the cable, a picture of the unit.
Reason: some of these cables look like a normal computer cable at the tool and then a Deutsch 4 pin connector at the other. If that is the situation then someone with a little knowledge could make or adapt a cable.

im,
thanks for your reply, but I have already done what you suggested and they cannot help me. This is a very specific cable, not a generic PC cable and without special info from the manufacturer, not repairable. It is also no longer available from either the manufacturer or H-D.
Yes I'm talking about the HD Scanalyzer Scan tool, yes it was a Kent-More SPX product, but you cant get them new anymore.
Any one got one they don't use anymore and are you willing to sell it to me?
thanks
marco

Unfortunate that mfg is unable to assist.
Unusual that cable is proprietary and that a similar cable can not be made.
As mentioned before maybe a picture of the cable, another picture of each end of the cable & a picture of the unit might help someone with greater knowledge to provide a solution.
For example some units use a deutsch connector or a molex or whatever.
Sometimes a simple continuity test allows you to test the wire position in order to identify location.
At the very least the pictures would help identify the situation.
Maybe someone has such a unit in their garage or a friends garage but did not memorize the item number.
Best of luck.

Unfortunately,zero response.
I wonder if the information suggested before might help someone remember, identify or suggest a positive resolution.
For odd items it is my experience that very few individuals will respond just by item number.
When given an item number only...people are asking for folks to use their time to research in order to identify the item.
Make it extra easy for folks and then you might increase your chances.
Provide several detailed pictures, several links...make it easy.
Spend some time on providing some more detailed information.
It is a rather rare item so make it extra easy to identify.
Some people are using their smart phones and will not even click a link.
Make it easy.
If not it is like fishing without a hook or bait.
For example:
1-Someone might have passed away and they have it in their home garage but family has no clue and will not bother to search for an item number.
2-Maybe it is at the bottom of an estate sale box.
3-Maybe someone already made such a cable or is able to suggest a solution.
4-By chance maybe someone that worked on the design is on the forum.
It has happened before with other items.
5-Maybe a mechanic has it in the shop but is not using it because they are using something else.
6-How exactly is cable broken?
7-Maybe a forum member works in a pawn shop and saw a unit.
Best of luck.

it's not that rare, it the cable that goes with the Harley-Davidson Scanalyzer Scan Tool.
its not rare, its just that not every Tom,Dick, and Harry has one, you have to be a little more into working on injected bikes than the average Joe, and also most people that have one don't want to give it up, and i know that.....i was just hoping on the off chance enough people got newer bikes that they might let this item go......anyone????

Tried to offer some suggestions on how to help others help you but i guess it did not come across as such.
Is the link below the item you were looking for...if it is then the link might help others to understand: if they click the picture it will open more pictures.
