Default Looking for a book

I was reading about a book titled "France in America" It is a coffee table book written by British author Gary France about his 21,000 mile trip across America. I looked on line and the book is 60.00. Just wondering if someone has a copy that would like to part with at a more reasonable price.

Thanks. Terry

It was published in the UK and is expensive over here! I suspect you'll be lucky to find anyone who has spent that much on it. Despite being a long-standing Harley fan I haven't heard of it and have never seen it.

It's a 400 page coffee table book. What is unreasonable about $60?

Bone Doc: The 60.00 for a coffee table book is not bad but I was looking for the content more than the photos. Heard he had good ideas about long distance travel and that is what I was looking for.

I will buy it at 60.00 if I can't find an alternative but just thought I would ask.

Wink

I found this website, which gives a bit of info and some nice photos, if it's of any interest and you haven't found it already.

But in the meantime, for a fraction of that cost, you can pick up
“The Old Man And The Harley-A Last Ride Through Our Fathers America”
By author John J. Newkirk

I’m not much of a small novel reader, but this one got me hooked. Historically accurate with persons and places in 1939, the rider on his 1930 VL Big Twin, East to West Coast in the northern states.

Which turned up in the post today. Published in 2008, but given a slightly yellowed look, as if it is much older. Looks a weighty read! Surprised to find that the first words are from Robert Burns, the 18th century Scots writer.
