Newbie, hope i'm happy, input on Roadglide
 

I just bought an 08' Roadglide, i was looking at a Streetglide but could not pass the deal up on this Roadglide. When i first looked at this bike i was not sure i liked it with the frame mounted fairing, but it sort of grew on me. Most folks say they don't like the look. I am more interested in function, salesmen said this bike outperforms the Electra standard and the Streetglide, not sur what he meant about that statement. I have not ridden a fix-mount fairing since i road an old Yamaha Ventura, and that was so long ago i don't remember. This is my first Harley, i hope i can adapt to it. I presently race Enduros and have not been on the road in many years, i could not pass up this deal so i went for it. What do you guys think....looking forward to living the Harley life....Paul:)

Road Glide
 

Welcome to the forum...Although opinions vary, I have been told by several riders of geezerglides that the road glide is the best riding touring bike Harley makes. Of course it's just heresay.

welcome from sunny alberta. As you can see from my avatar I have a 08 roadglide as well. Don't worry, I asked lots of questions and looked at all the models before I bought. The roadglide, maybe not the classic harley look, is for sure the best riding one. The fame mounted fairing is not effected by crosswinds like the handle bar mounted ones.

I haven't had mine for long, and winter set in so I can't ride now, but the bit of riding I did sure was sweet.
