Hello everyone! I am new to the forum. I ride a 2002 RKC and my wife rides a 2002 FatBoy. Just did a service on the Fatboy on my own. Normally I let a local shop do it but have decided I need to get a little more hands on to save some money and free up time waiting on the shop.
Have a Great Day!

Welcome to the Forum from central IL. My wife has a FatBoy also, but it's me and not a muttersickle. Good idea to practice on hers and get perfect for yours.
Welcome, I also own an 02 Road King, except mine is the standard. My wife rides an 04 Vrod. I don't work on our bikes but since I'm a Service Manager of a HD dealer I get the pick of my tech and get that discount.
Don't forget to post pics.

Keep on wrenchen and save that money. Hope the two of you can make some friends and learn some cool stuff from the forum. I really enjoy talking to the guys and gals about everything to do with Harleys.
I do all my own services, including tire changes. At 75.00 per hour, I can't justify having the Dealership do it.
I just changed fluids on both bikes in Kingman, Az, while on a trip, and I was not happy with that dealership. They would not let me dump my old fluids, even though I bought the new fluid from them, and offered to pay a disposal fee.
As a result, I will not do business with them if I can help it.
